IIT Alumni of Canada is a networking association that is made up of the alumni of Indian Institutes of Technology in India. Currently, there are seven world-class engineering institutions of technology located in Kharagpur, Mumbai, Madras, Kanpur, New Delhi, Guwahati and Roorkee. The first IIT was set up in Kharagpur. West Bengal in 1951 soon after India's independence in 1947.
